Proof of Undergraduate Thuggin’

Posted by forever 21 on October 8, 2009

We may now be Corporate Thuggin’, but a few of us were at one time Undergraduate Thuggin’. Myself along with Cracker with Cheese and White-Collar Crime were at one time, roommates. The result was a number of parties as well as a number of gimmicks that included our baby pictures on the wall, family portraits and a Christmas photo shoot. However, we recently received a e-mail from our property manager in regards to our former place of residence. Here is the e-mail we received that details the expenses we incurred following our departure this past August. I would also state that we didn’t think it was that bad and this guy went a little overboard with the adjectives. I implore you all of this is real and obviously needs no exaggeration, and please not the descriptions of the unit.

The total you would have been able to get back is $4,600 (security deposit), $31.64 (interest on last month rent), $34.50 (security deposit interest), $50 (lock installation charge) for a total of $4,716.13.

the list of damages is:

unit restoration [see below] – $300
patch and paint [see below] – $1125
carpet cleaning [stains in all bedroom carpets]- $225
debris removal [see below] – $350
oak floor repair [sand and refinish] – $400
broken miniblinds [2 in living room, 1 in bedroom #3] – $75
garbage disposal [stated as being jammed with beer cap]- $125
broken railing spindles – $75
outlet cover [broken in bedroom #1] – $5
bedroom door replacement [2 bedroom doors] – $400
thermostat cover [living room] – $65

total – $3,145

Descriptions of work:

unit restoration – unsanitary – an absolute disgrace; kitchen is disgusting, floor is covered in mud, slime, black marks, spilled food, inside fridge and freezer covered in old spilled food – smells horrible, degrease oven and stove top, kitchen sink dirty, both bathroom absolutely disgusting – doesnt look like they were ever cleaned

patch and painting – all walls left in horrible condition. unprofessional patches all over apartment – two huge horrible patches at bottom of stair and on most bedroom walls, kitchen walls covered with black marks, all window sills damaged

debris removal – tons of belongings left in apartment: cleaning supplies under kitchen sink, cups and plates in dishwasher, pots and pans under cabinets, irons, box of hooks, mops, crow-bar, brooms… tons of trash left in yard out front

The remaining amount and the total you are receiving is $1,571.13.

I did not know it was possible to lose that much of your security deposit. Good work boys. It makes me think of New Years Day ’08 when your feet stuck to every inch of the floor and there was liquor, food and trash everywhere haha.
